Salmon can be eaten raw (smoked salmon) or cooked(atlantic Salmon) . I love Salmon because of its unique taste and texture. It tends to be oily and yet very smooth.As for color it varies from orange to red.One of its health benefits is that it is rich in Omega 3 and iron too.
While cooking Salmon it is important to note that it takes a very short time to cook due to its soft texture it can be pan seared for roughly 8 to 10 minutes. Though if you decide to bake your Salmon it maintains a longer period like 25 to 30 minutes
PREPARATION OF SALMON.
Season the Salmon with salt and pepper. Add some little cooking oil in a skillet.
Place the Salmon in the skillet(the side with the skin),and increase heat to high. Cook for 3 minutes. Turn the Salmon over, and cook for 5 minutes or until browned.
PREPARATION OF COUSCOUS.
Well cous cous varies in preparation depending on the brand you are using.
For the brand I use, you soak the cous cous in very hot water.
Peel your carrots and cut into very small cubes. Wash and cut some green bell papers into very small cubes. Blanch them shortly in water.
In a cooking pot place some olive oil, add the cous cous ,carrots and some little turmeric powder. Cook for five minutes and serve.
Garnish with some finely sliced white onions, cherry tomatoes and coriander.
